Mobility is where we started. Neuro rehab is where veterans are waiting longest for better answers. After a stroke or brain injury, recovery depends on hours of practice, and too many veterans run out of therapy long before they run out of progress.

recommendations in the 2024 VA/DoD stroke rehabilitation guideline found insufficient evidence to recommend for or against the treatment.

In May 2024, the VA and the Department of Defense updated their clinical practice guideline for stroke rehabilitation. It is candid about how much we still don't know. Among the open questions:

  • Robot-assisted therapy for arm, hand and leg recovery
  • Virtual reality and gaming for balance, gait and daily living
  • Telerehabilitation and technology-based support for caregivers

That is why we focus here. These gaps close when new technology is put in front of veterans and measured honestly, and we want veterans to be first in line.

A VA family, with service in every branch.

I grew up a VA kid. My grandmother was a nurse at the VA. My mom served as an Air Force nurse and then spent 33 years as a nurse at the VA. My dad was a recreational therapist there for 32 years. Dinner table conversation was about patients, and about doing right by them.

I served in the Air Force, and I came home a service-disabled veteran. I have spent my life around caregiving, and I started young. Prosperous Healthcare is how I keep the family promise: take care of the people who took care of us.

Named for my mom. Built for the people she cared for.

ROSE is a caregiver robot I invented to help people stand, move and stay safe, and to take some of the physical load off the people caring for them. She's named for my mother, Rose.

Prosperous Healthcare will be the federal procurement arm for ROSE. When ROSE is ready for federal customers, this is how the VA and other agencies will buy her.
